Could there be any place more fitting for a climactic sword fight than the perilous heights of Prekestolen?

Hyvlatonnå, to give it its ancient name, is a massive cliff 604 metres (1982 feet) above Lysefjorden (the fjord of Light), opposite the Kjerag plateau, in Forsand, Ryfylke, Norway. The top of the cliff is approximately 25 by 25 metres (82 by 82 feet) square and almost flat.

The spectacular beauty of this setting should more than make up for the cinematic and logistical challenges of filming here.attraction in Norway.

An Introduction to the Vé (2009)

What brings an outcast crusader and his priest companion to the very edge of the world?

Our story is set in the last days of the viking age, and barely a generation has passed since 'the last viking king' has fallen. Two strangers have arrived upon the shores of Norway on a perilous mission that will test their faith and strength to the very utmost.

Norway 1140 AD: Christianity has fallen like a curtain of smoke upon the land, but the superstitions of a tormented past still linger - The old ways are not forgotten - something the two strangers will discover as they set out to make a remarkable journey across a land where gods lie yet sleeping...

Vé in 35mm

• Ghosts in the Vé is an independent film being shot in 35mm format. We will be using ancient russian movie camera equipment and a lot of almost viking-age witchery to get a very unique style of cinematography.

Estimated length of the feature is between 20 and 30 minutes subject to final editing.
